The Lucia Mar Unified School District is located along the California Central Coast between San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria. It covers 550 square miles, and serves the communities of Arroyo Grande, Huasna, Halcyon, Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, Nipomo, and Oceano. It is San Luis Obispo County's largest school district with more than 10,900 students attending.
Schools
Lucia Mar operates eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, and an adult education program. The schools include:
