Evan Thompson graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1988, and began a six-year sojourn through Cuesta College and Alan Hancock College. He "hustled" baseball cards and comic books on the weekends and ended up making a small fortune before he turned 20.[1]

At the age of 36, Evan retired to a lifestyle where he works about five hours per week and still makes a good living.[2][3] He owns multiple franchise units of Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt, and is also a consultant for The Upper Deck Company, a baseball card manufacturer.[2]

Evan married his summer camp sweetheart, Michelle Kolz,[4] in 1998. The couple have a daughter, Sierra, and a son, Bryce. In 2005, they moved from Carlsbad to Simi Valley to raise their kids closer to family.[2]In 2007, they were in the process of buying a vacation home in [[Avila Beach] to be nearer to the ocean.[2]
