The pages in this category are redirects from singular word or phrase to the equivalent plural word the article has been recorded as for general usage (Common term) reasons. This is not a license to create artilces against English language Wikipedia Naming conventions, but is for the rare case where the plural is uncategorically correct.
This redirect link is used for convenience, usually for words that do not follow simple conventions. They lead to the title in accordance with the naming conventions for titles in the plural and can help writing.
In most all cases, it is preferable to add the plural directly after the link (that is, [[link]]s), which is the subject of the sister category Category:Redirects from plurals and it's associated {{R from plural}} template.
However, the converse {{R to plural}} auto-categorizes to this category. Do not replace these redirected links with a simpler singular link unless the page is updated for reasons in WP:Afd.
To add a redirect to this category, put {{R from plural}} after the redirect but on the same line.
