AGHSReunions:Stub types
From AGHSReunions
This is a list of stub article types that are currently recognized by the system.
Adding one of the stub tags shown below near the bottom of any article adds the article to the category indicated and displays the message shown in the example. Please be copy and paste the stub tag or type it carefully, because they are case sensitive ("ThIs" is different from "this") and a typo can mis-categorize the article. Miscategorized articles are difficult to find, which defeats the purpose of stub tags.
The proper place for a stub tag is near the bottom of the page, immediately before the list of categories to which the article belongs. Stub tags are designed to be fairly invisible to the casual reader, but easily noticeable to editors looking for articles to improve.
If you feel that an article has been improved to the point that it no longer qualifies as a stub, you may remove the stub tag from the article. Conversely, if you find an untagged article that feels "stubby", please add a stub tag to identify the article. You can add stub tags to articles you start, but do not have enough information to craft a complete article.
The generic {{stub}} stub tag is useful for identifying stubs, but choosing a more specific tag is even better. There are currently four general stub tags that help classify articles into four broad groupings. The bio tag identifies biographical articles. For commerce-related articles (business, careers, organizations, clubs, etc.), please use the com tag. The edu tag identifies articles related to schools and educational topics. Finally, the geo tag identifies articles that are concerned with specific locations (cities, counties, states, regions, countries, etc.). The four general and one generic stub tags are indicated with a pale blue background in the chart below.

More specific stub tags are available to help organize the general stub categories, and you can add to the list of available stub types. To add a new one, please refer to the examples above and the documentation for the {{stub}} template. Create a subcategory under one of the four general stub categories (bio, com, edu, or geo) to hold the new stub type articles. Be certain to link it to its general stub category (e.g., Cat:California high school stubs is a subcategory of Cat:Education stubs). Test your new stub tag on an article that qualifies, and if everything works, add the stub tag to this list.
The goal of stub tags is to help editors easily locate articles that need improvement that match their interests. Layers of subcategories can make it more difficult to find articles, so new subtypes should not be created unless at least 15 articles currently fall within the new stub type, and the stub type is likely to remain in use on at least 8 stubs at any given time. These are numbers are guidelines and may be adjusted as this site grows.
